Welcome to Siruthuligal Foundation (SiFo), a compassionate response born from the wreckage of the 2015 Chennai floods.
Devastation gave rise to purpose as a group of friends, who had long been engaged in social service individually, came together in the aftermath of the Chennai floods. United by a shared vision, they recognised the need to address the educational challenges faced by under privileged students. This shared purpose led to the formation of Siruthuligal Foundation (SIFO), a beacon of hope dedicated to providing financial support and transforming the lives of those who dream beyond their circumstances.
Since our inception, Siruthuligal Foundation has been a catalyst for change, impacting the lives of over 100 students. With a total contribution exceeding 75 lakhs, we’ve not only provided financial assistance but have become architects of transformation.

We have successfully established learning centers exclusively for rural students and remain committed to expanding our reach.

We offer financial aid and educational resources to students facing financial constraints, ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial limitations.
Our learning centers go beyond traditional classrooms, providing academic support and guidance to rural government high school students in grades 6-12, especially those who need it the most.
The Siruthuligal Foundation emphasizes student development through a continuous process of identifying training needs, creating training courses or opportunities, delivering the training, and evaluating the impact on students’ learning.
For underprivileged students unable to pursue graduate courses, Siruthuligal Foundation collaborates with FEMA to offer job-oriented training, such as the 2-year, government-approved Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT).

A mechanical engineer, inspired by deeply held values and a commitment to uplifting the under privileged, transitioned from a successful career in Automobile and IT industry to dedicate his life to social service. Motivated by a belief in education as a pathway to empowerment, he founded Siruthuligal Foundation, a mission driven initiative focussed on transforming lives and serving humanity.

With a diverse background in Sales and Marketing, ISO Consulting, and Skill Development, Ramesh brings multi-dimensional expertise to the table. Outside of work, he’s an avid Soccer and Badminton player and coach. However, it’s in the realm of social service that he’s truly found his calling, co-founding Siruthuligal.

Whether tackling demanding work or visiting those in need, Vedhanayagam is the unwavering, always-smiling cornerstone of our team. Known for his passion for speed, he enjoys pushing the limits on his wheels, a reflection of his ties to the automobile industry.

After a career spent in Engineering and IT, shifted gears towards service upon retirement. Despite the late start, he actively engages in academic and promotional activities for the foundation. His passions include fostering friendships, savoring culinary delights, indulging in books, and exploring new destinations—whether individually or all at once in a vibrant blend.

In his professional career, Vivekanandan spearheads projects for a prominent multinational specializing in Automation Digital Solutions. Beyond his career, he dedicates his time to social causes, actively contributing to World Vision India—an NGO focused on providing education to the underprivileged. Within our team, he serves as our torchbearer for systems and audits, ensuring excellence in our operations.
